Dipaleseng Local Municipality is situated in the southern part of the GertSibande District Municipality. Balfour is located in the heart of world-renowned coalfields and the Goldfields belt. This modern and predominantly industrial town is located in close proximity (80km) to the nationally well-known industrial areas of Johannesburg. The Balfour/Siyathemba urban area is 340km from Nelspruit and 80km from Johannesburg. The internationally known abattoir, the �biggest abattoir in Africa�, is found in Dipaleseng (Balfour town), with a vast number of by-products including inorganic chemicals, fertilizers, etc.being manufactured in the area.

Emalahleni

EmalahleniLocal Municipality is situated in Mpumalanga province, and it represents one of the six local municipalities in the Nkangala District Municipality. It forms part of the western regions of the province and borders Gauteng province. Emakhazeni

EmakhazeniLocal Municipality is situated in the heart of Mpumalanga,covering a total of 4�736km2with a total of about 47�216 people and eight wards.It is bordered by Mbombela Local Municipality on the east and MiddelburgLocal Municipality on the west. It is one of the six municipalitiesthat fall within the Nkangala District Municipality, and was formed through theamalgamation of four former Transitional Local Councils (TLCs) namely Belfast, Dullstroom,Machadodorp and WatervalBoven.

There are four nature reserves in the area, namely the Tullach-Mohr Reserveon the eastern boundary of the area, the Dullstroom Nature Reservesituated north of Dullstroom and the Verloren Valley Nature reservesituated in the north of Emakhazeni. Madibeng

The Madibeng Local Municipality is located in the Bojanala Platinum District Municipality within the North West province between the majestic ancient Magaliesberg and the Witwatersrand mountain range, and means 'the place of water'. The name is derived from the area's resources that characterise the natural beauty of an area which encompasses the Hartbeespoort, Rooikoppies, Vaalkop and Klipvoor Dams, all of which contribute to the area in terms of tourism. The Municipality is demarcated into 31 wards of which 10 fall in the urban areas (Brits, Hartbeespoort and Skeerpoort) and 21 in the rural areas and villages. It is home to Boekenhoutfontein, the farm of Paul Kruger, former president of the South African Republic. Rustenburg is a large town situated at the foot of the Magalies mountain range in the North West province of South Africa.
